The resort
Cerler, high in the Benasque valley (Aragonese Pyrenees, Huesca), is the highest resort in the Pyrenees — the village sits at 1,540 m, above the town of Benasque. Part of the Aramón group, it offers 80 km of pistes across two valleys (Cerler 1500 and Ampriu, up to 2,630 m at the Gallinero peak), with views over the Maladeta massif and Aneto, the roof of the Pyrenees. A sporty, family-friendly resort surrounded by pine forest and more than 60 summits above 3,000 m.

The village
The village of Cerler keeps its Aragonese stone-and-slate houses; 6 km away is Benasque, the valley's main town, with dining, shops (Barrabés) and a mountain atmosphere. The Aramón pass also gives access to Formigal-Panticosa, Javalambre and Valdelinares (294 km). You fly to Barcelona and then drive (~3h45) — there is no train to the valley.
