The resort
Engelberg, a resort village in the heart of central Switzerland (Obwalden) anchored by a Benedictine monastery, skis in the shadow of the Titlis glacier — 82 km of pistes from 1,050 to 3,020 m, crowned by the rotating TITLIS Rotair cable car. It is a mostly red domain, ideal for intermediates, with the south-facing Ristis/Brunni slope for families and beginners. You can arrive in ~2h by SBB train from Zurich Airport (ZRH) with a change in Lucerne, without a car.
