The resort
Megève is French glamour at its most refined — created by the Rothschild family as an answer to St. Moritz, it is synonymous with luxury chalets, haute-couture boutiques and Michelin-starred dining. The skiing, across the Évasion Mont-Blanc area (~400 km), is wide, scenic and largely intermediate, perfect for elegant cruising. Reached by train to Sallanches plus a ~20-minute bus.
