The resort
Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis is Tyrol's flagship family resort: three terraced villages perched above the upper Inn valley, linked into a single area of 214 km of pistes between 1,200 and 2,828 m. Serfaus is famous for its Dorfbahn — an underground air-cushioned village metro ("U-Bahn") that carries skiers from the car-free centre up to the slopes. You reach it via Munich (MUC), then car or transfer (Innsbruck is closer but the route always runs through MUC).

The village
The three villages — Serfaus, Fiss and Ladis — sit on a sunny, south-facing plateau, with low-traffic streets, snow playgrounds and the greatest concentration of children's facilities in the Alps. The atmosphere is welcoming, without the crowds of a raucous après-ski scene, designed for families and beginners.
