The resort
Arabba (Rèba in Ladin) is the Sella Ronda's serious corner: a small Ladin village at 1,602 m wedged between the Pordoi and Campolongo passes, with its lifts rising straight from the centre. The numbers deserve three honest layers: the Arabba–Marmolada area itself has 63 km (including the 12 km Bellunese run down the Marmolada glacier from Punta Rocca at 3,265 m to Malga Ciapela); the lift-linked Sella Ronda circuit opens ~500 km around the Sella massif (Alta Badia, Val Gardena, Val di Fassa); and the Dolomiti Superski pass covers 1,200 km across 12 areas — but only about half link on skis, the rest needs a car or bus. You arrive via Venice (VCE), ~160 km and ~2h45 by road, with no railway nearby — plan a hire car or a pre-booked shuttle.

Fly from
The village
Arabba is small, quiet and vertical: the cold, shaded north wall of Porta Vescovo (2,478 m) holds the circuit's most demanding pistes, and the Funifor cable car, the Portados gondola and the Arabba Fly and Monte Burz chairs all leave from the village core. Nightlife is nearly nonexistent and beginner terrain is short (37% easy) — people who sleep here already ski and want real pistes, cold snow and short queues.
