The resort
Risoul 1850 is a purpose-built garden resort set among the larches (mélèzes) of the Hautes-Alpes, truly ski-in/ski-out: you step straight from the chalet onto the chairlifts. Linked by pistes to Vars, it forms the Forêt Blanche area with ~185 km of pistes between 1,850 and 2,750 m — one of the largest in the Southern Alps. Access is via Milan-Malpensa (MXP, ~300 km via the Frejus tunnel, Briançon and Guillestre) or, alternatively, via Geneva (GVA).

The village
A family, pedestrian resort at 1,850 m, with wooden architecture blended into the forest and reliable snow thanks to its altitude and northern exposure. The atmosphere is calm and family-oriented, with the chalets and shops just metres from the foot of the slopes.
